 Advanced Promotions – General Setup

Advanced Promotions are configured in the POS365 Admin Center and synchronized to POS365.


A promotion is applied during a sale when its configured requirements are met. The available promotion types support fixed prices, percentage discounts, reward products, Buy X Get Y offers, and defined campaign prices for individual items.

This guide explains the configuration shared by all Advanced Promotion types.

Available promotion types

Choose the guide for the promotion you want to configure:

Step 1: Enable the Campaigns module

The Campaigns module must be enabled before campaigns can be configured.

  1. Open Setup in the POS365 Admin Center.
  2. Select Modules.
  3. Select the checkbox for Campaigns.

 

Step 2: Create a campaign

  1. Open Store.
  2. Select Campaigns.
  3. Select Create.
  4. Select the required promotion type in the Type field.
  5. Complete the campaign information.
  6. Select Save.

 

The available types are:

Type Purpose
FixedPrice Sells qualifying items at a fixed price.
PercentDiscount Applies a percentage discount to qualifying items or item groups.
RewardOnly Gives the customer a reward product when the campaign requirements are met.
BuyXGetYLowest Uses the lowest-priced qualifying item as the reward after the required number of items has been purchased.
ItemPrice Applies a defined campaign price to a specific item.

Follow the guide for the selected type to complete its specific configuration.

Step 3: Create a campaign group
Campaign groups contain the products or item categories included in the promotion.

  1. Open Store.
  2. Select Campaign groups.
  3. Select Create.
  4. Complete the campaign-group information.

 

Step 4: Add products or categories
A campaign group can contain specific products, complete item categories, or multiple selected values.

  1. Open either the Categories or Products tab.
  2. Select +.
  3. Add the required item or category.
  4. Repeat the process when more products or categories are required.
  5. Select Save.

 

Step 5: Configure campaign intervals
Campaign intervals are optional.

  1. Return to the campaign.
  2. Open the Campaign intervals tab.
  3. Select +.
  4. Define the required interval.
  5. Select OK.

 

After completing the setup

Once the campaign configuration has been synchronized to POS365, the promotion can be applied during a sale when its requirements are met.
