Where can I find a customer’s default dimensions?

You want to review the dimension codes and values configured on a customer.

Note: This FAQ uses the POS365 Manager role and English page names. If your screen looks different, follow Access the POS365 UI (user interface) Manager role in Business Central. Changing the language to English is optional, but makes it easier to follow this FAQ.

Answer:

  1. On the Business Central home page (POS365 UI), go to POS365 Navigation → Customers → Customers.
  2. Open the relevant customer.
  3. In the action bar above the customer sections, select Customer → Dimensions.
  4. On Default Dimensions, review Dimension Code, Dimension Value Code, Dimension Value Name, and Value Posting.

These are the customer’s default dimensions. To check a specific invoice, review the dimensions on that invoice separately.
