# What is Batch Delete in POS365, and how does it work?

## Understand how Batch Delete handles deleted records from Business Central and how to configure automatic deletion processing in POS365 Admin Center.

**Answer**

**Batch Delete** allows POS365 to process certain deletions from Business Central in a scheduled batch instead of processing each deletion individually.

When Batch Delete is enabled, POS365 skips the immediate processing of individual delete events for supported data types. Instead, these deletions are handled through a scheduled process.

**Which data types are affected?**

The following data types are supported by the batch deletion logic:

- Accounts
- Prices
- Discounts
- Resources

Other data types, such as items/products, can still have their individual delete events processed normally.

**How to configure Batch Delete**

1. Open **Admin Center**.
2. Navigate to **Integration → Settings**.
3. Enable **Batch delete every night**.
4. Under **Bulk delete run time (UTC)**, select the time at which the deletion process should run.
5. Save your changes.

**What happens when Batch Delete is disabled?**

When Batch Delete is disabled, supported deletion events are processed individually through the normal synchronization process. The scheduled batch deletion process is also disabled.

**Important:** Batch Delete does not perform a complete comparison of all records in Business Central and POS365 every night. It processes recorded deletions. Therefore, it should not be considered a full synchronization or data cleanup function.
