It also shows how to create, refill, and check vouchers for online and in-store use. **Note:** The possible webshop integration that BC vouchers allow is configured outside POS365. For setup instructions, see [Connect Business Central vouchers to your webshop](https://help.posone365.com/pos365/connect-business-central-vouchers-to-your-webshop?hsLang=en). **Part 1:** Set up the voucher type in Business Central   **Step 1:** Search voucher types ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-47-08-7225-AM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-47-08-7225-AM.png) ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-49-48-6076-AM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-49-48-6076-AM.png) 1\) Search for and open **Voucher Types** in Business Central. 2\) Select New **Step 3:** Configure the voucher type ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-54-52-6027-AM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-54-52-6027-AM.png) 1\) Configure how vouchers of this type should work: 2\) Review the settings and Release | Setting | Explanation | | --- | --- | | **Code** | The required code used to identify the voucher type. | | **Description** | A recognizable description of the voucher type. | | **Blocked** | Specifies whether the voucher type is blocked. | | **Released** | Shows whether the voucher type has been released and is ready for use. | | **CVC Required** | Determines whether a CVC is required when the voucher is used. | | **External Identifier Type** | Select **None** to create vouchers without an external identifier. Select **Eight Characters** to generate an external identifier containing eight uppercase alphanumeric characters. | | **Default Voucher Type** | Makes this the default voucher type. | | **Voucher Posting Type** | Select whether voucher transactions should be posted using an **Item** or a **G/L Account**. | | **Voucher Posting No.** | Select the item or G/L account used for posting, according to the selected posting type. | | **VAT Bus. Posting Group** | Select the VAT business posting group required by the company’s accounting setup, such as **DOMESTIC**, **EU**, or **EXPORT**. | | **Auto Release on Create** | Determines whether the voucher entry is released automatically when a voucher is created. | | **Auto Release on Refill** | Determines whether the voucher entry is released automatically when funds are added to a voucher. | | **Auto Release on Reserve** | Determines whether reserving a voucher immediately creates a released redemption voucher entry. | | **Validity Period in Days**, **Months**, or **Years** | Defines how long vouchers of this type remain valid. | | **Fixed Expiration Date** | Sets a specific expiration date for vouchers of this type. | **Step 3:** View created vouchers in Business Central ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-12-41-41-2270-PM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-12-41-41-2270-PM.png) Vouchers created through POS365 are added to the **Vouchers** page in Business Central.   **Part 2:** Add the voucher functions to POS365 in the Admin Center ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-58-23-7784-AM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-10-58-23-7784-AM.png) ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-11-10-49-6799-AM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-11-10-49-6799-AM.png) ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-12-56-27-0683-PM.png?width=670&height=332&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-12-56-27-0683-PM.png) 1\) Go to **Setup** 2\) Go to **Screen Designer** 3\) Go to **Edit** on the desired screen **Note:** You cannot edit a deafult screen 4\) **Edit** the functions layout 5\) Add the following functions: **BCVoucherCreate, BCVoucherRefill, BCVoucherStatus.** 6\) Click **Update**. 7\) Click **Save**. **Note:** Remember to select the screen containing the **BCVoucher** functions on the relevant cash register. Otherwise, the functions will not be visible in POS365. If you are unsure how to assign a screen to a cash register, see this guide: [How do I select which screen is used](https://help.posone365.com/pos365/how-do-i-select-which-screen-is-used-on-a-cash-register-?hsLang=en) . **Note:** To accept gift card payments, the cash register must have a payment type where **Payment service** is set to **BCVoucher - BC Voucher**. Select the button called to **Create voucher.** 2. Select the required **Voucher type**. 3. Enter the **Amount**. 4. Select **Create voucher**. 5. **Pay** for the voucher The voucher is created using the settings from the selected Business Central voucher type and will now appear in page called **Vouchers** in Business Central. **Step 2:** Refill a voucher ![](https://help.posone365.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-01-20-04-8512-PM.png?width=670&height=360&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-01-20-04-8512-PM.png) 1. Select the button called **Refill Voucher**. 2. Enter the **Voucher code or external identifier**. 3. Select **Search**. 4. Verify the available funds. 5. Enter the amount to add. 6. Select the button called **Voucher Status.** 2. Enter the **Voucher code or external identifier**. 3. Select **Search**. 4. Review the voucher information: - **Available funds** - **Reserved funds** - **Incoming funds** - **Balance** - **Status** - **Expiry** **Note:** All **BCVoucher** functions in POS365 use voucher data from Business Central. Changes made through POS365 are synchronized with the corresponding voucher in Business Central.
