**Note:** A collection posts a sales shipment in Business Central. It does not create an invoice or take payment.

**Note:** You can register partial collections. For example, collecting 3 of 5 units leaves 2 for later collection. Each successful partial collection creates a separate posted sales shipment.

If the collection cannot be completed

| Situation | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| The order has changed | Reopen the refreshed order and check the current quantities before confirming again. |
| The request times out or the result is unclear | Check 'Posted Sales Shipments' in Business Central before attempting the collection again. |
| Business Central rejects the posting | Review the error message for inventory, item tracking, posting setup or warehouse processing requirements. |
| Business Central is unavailable | Restore the connection before completing the collection. |

**Note:** This guide covers standard and partial collections. Separate serial or lot selection and advanced warehouse pick or shipment procedures are outside its scope.
