# Set up an Upsell Product Question

## This guide explains how to offer additional products when a configured product is added to a POS365 transaction.

For example, you can offer snacks when the cashier adds a drink.

**Step 1: Create the Product Question**

1. In Admin Center, go to 'Setup'.
2. Open 'Product Questions'.
3. Click 'Create'.

**Step 2: Select the question type**

1. Select 'Upsell'.
2. Click 'Next: Setup'.

**Step 3: Add the trigger items**

1. Click 'Add Item' in the trigger section.

**Step 4: Select the products or categories**

1. Use 'Products' or 'Categories', where available, to select the items that should trigger the question.
2. Click 'Confirm'.

**Step 5: Add the offered products**

1. Click 'Add Item' in the selected upsell products section.
2. Add the products you want to offer under 'Selected Upsell Products'.
3. Check that the list contains the intended products.

**Step 6: Configure and save the question**

1. Enter 'Question Name (Internal)' to identify the question in Admin Center.
2. Enter 'Question Text (Customer-Facing)' for the prompt displayed in POS365.
3. Set 'Min Selection' and 'Max Selection' to define the permitted selection range.
4. Enable 'Required (cashier must answer to proceed)', where available, if the cashier must answer the question.
5. Click 'Finish' to create the question. When editing an existing question, click 'Save'.

Example:

| Field | Example |
| --- | --- |
| Question Name (Internal) | Snacks with drinks |
| Question Text (Customer-Facing) | Would you like to add a snack? |
| Selected Upsell Products | The snacks you want to offer |

**Note:** Although the field is named 'Question Text (Customer-Facing)', the prompt is displayed to the cashier in POS365.

### How it works in POS365

When a configured trigger product is added to a transaction, POS365 presents the additional products for selection.

The permitted selection range follows 'Min Selection' and 'Max Selection'.
