# How to solve – “Base currency rate must be 100”

## The exchange-rate values configured for the base currency do not meet the required POS365 setup.

1. Open **Currencies** in Business Central.
2. Find the base currency and open its exchange rates.
3. Enter a valid **Starting Date**.
4. Set both **Exchange Rate Amount** and **Relational Exch. Rate Amount** to `100`.
5. Ensure that this is the first applicable exchange-rate line.
