Custom order types for POS365

Use custom order types to create and manage order type options in POS365.

 

Step 1:

Open the custom order type you want to configure

 

  

1) Click 'Setup'.

2) Go to 'Custom order types'.

3) Open the custom order type you want to configure.

 

Step 2:

Configure the custom order type and save your changes

 

  

1) Enter the display name in 'Description'. Select 'Active' if the custom order type should be displayed in POS365. Enter the Order Class ID in 'Code'.

2) Click 'Save'.

 

The 'Description' is used as the display name on the POS.

The 'Active' checkbox determines whether the custom order type is displayed in POS365.

The 'Code' is used the input that will be inserted in the custom POS365 Order Class field in Business Central.

 

Step 3:

Confirm that the active custom order type is available when creating a new order in POS365

  

1) Click 'New order'.

2) Observe that the custom order type is now available in the order manager in POS365

 

Step 4:

Verify that the selected custom order type is populated on the sales order in Business Central

 

  

1) Open the sales order in Business Central.

2) Go to the 'POS 365' tab.

3) Verify that 'Order Class' is populated with the value selected as the custom order type in POS365.
