# How does PON Auto Apply POS365 Payments work?

## PON Auto Apply POS365 Payments automatically matches POS365 payments with their related invoices or credit memos in Business Central. By default, this Job Queue runs once per day.

How are payments matched?

The invoice or credit memo entry must:

- Be **Open**
- Have an empty **Applies-to ID**
- Have a **POS365 Receipt Number**
- Have a **POS365 Cash Register Name**

POS365 then looks for a corresponding open payment or refund matching:

- Customer
- POS365 Receipt Number
- POS365 Cash Register Name
- Remaining amount with the opposite sign

When a match is found, the entries are automatically applied using the standard Business Central application process.

*My payment was not applied – what should I check?*

Check that both entries are still open and that the **Customer**, **POS365 Receipt Number** and **POS365 Cash Register Name** match.

Also check that the amounts correspond and have opposite signs, and that the entry does not already have an **Applies-to ID**.

If these values do not match, POS365 will not automatically apply the entries.
