This guide explains how to set up the Verifone V400M terminal and connect it to your POS365 system. Follow the steps to configure the terminal and ensure it is ready for use.
Step 1:
Prepare the terminal and access the configuration menu. You will enter the setup mode and configure the ECR connection using your POS IP address.

1) Press 4 and 6 simultaneously
2) Enter password 1234 and press the green button
3) Enter 2-1-5-1 to open 'Set ECR address'
4) Enter the POS IP address (use * for dots)

5) Press the green button
6) Press 2 and verify 'ECR port' is 9600
7) Press the green button to confirm
Note:
Make sure the POS computer and terminal are connected to the same network. If needed, find your IP address using the relevant guide.
Step 2:
Connect the terminal to Wi-Fi and complete the network setup. This ensures the terminal can communicate with the POS system.

1) Press the yellow button
2) Select 1 - Communication
3) Select Wifi
4) If Wifi is inactive, select Start Network Interface
5) Select Configuration
6) Press Wifi Scan
7) Select your Wi-Fi
8) Enter your Wi-Fi password
9) Press OK to confirm
10) The terminal is now ready for connection
Note:
The keyboard works like an old mobile keypad. For example, press 2 twice to enter the letter b.
Step 3:
Review additional setup options and related configurations. This includes alternative terminal types and recommended network setup.

2) Set up payment types in POS365 to activate the terminal
3) Configure a static IP address on the POS computer
4) Verify your IP address if needed
Note:
A static IP is recommended to ensure stable communication between the POS and terminal.
